The library received donations of bookcases this weekend. Art and I went to a house in Carmel Valley and picked up three very nice Ethan Allen bookcases. It was a challenge, since they are pretty heavy and were on the second floor. Later I drove to San Marcos and picked up another bookcase.

Most weekends I check the listings for bookcases on Craigslist. I’ll often offer a donation receipt for a nice bookcase listed for sale. I explain that we are a 501(c)(3) and would love to buy their bookcase(s) but cannot, because we run on donations with volunteers. This is how we received all the bookcases this weekend. Looking forward to seeing them full of books. Looking forward to hunting for more in the coming weeks.
